Bjerke actually transferred in 07-08. IIRC, she decided she was going to transfer before the season started but after the start of the school year. Fennelly redshirted her so she didn't burn a year of eligibility, and then she transferred at semester.

Others in that timeframe:
Jane Horkey and Megan Ebel in 03-04.
Seirra Dawson in 05-06. Lisa Bildeaux also left the team that year but stayed at ISU.
Darcie Dick in 10-11.
Don't forget Schroll this year.

I think Bildeaux and Arlen were the biggest losses; Lisa was 6-3 and had a nice touch around the basket and could hit from about 12 feet in. She just lost interest in the game. Arlen, as several have noted in past posts, has had a great career at Wayne St. What I liked about her was her ability to drive and rebound. Someone mentioned earlier in this thread that s/he felt we should recruit other positions this spring because we have guards coming in this year. But Bingley and Blaskowski, as promising as they look, will still be frosh, and for that reason I think at least one experienced guard from the juco ranks would be desirable to help Nicki.

This year she averaged 17.2 ppg and was conference POY. Suspect defense cost her PT at ISU.

Her dad told me in the Virgin Islands it was Chas he thought she should be playing ahead of. I was not surpprised when she announced she was leaving.

The Arlen, Yackley, Rockall, Williams class was very damaging to the program. I am looking forward to seeing how the new players fit in and what Bill will do with the open scholarships.

This because we had all these guards we had to pass on a guard from Minnesota named Brittany Chambers. Oh what could of been if she had become a Cyclone.
