She was a 2013 target. I'm not 100% on whether we offered her a scholarship, but it's likely we did. As an IC West athlete, it was likely an uphill battle anyway.

Mom played basketball with Jan Jensen at Drake. She played with the Hawks at Game Time League in the summer. Sat in the front row of every Hawk home game. This was never in doubt.

Well, it you have performance anxiety and are freaked out by big crowds, than Iowa home games and Big 10 road games are the place to be. Just like high school except in bigger gyms so it is even quieter!

Wonder if things change when Jan Jensen takes the Drake job.

Jensen has been offered the Drake job twice before when both Stone and Stephens were hired. It says to me she is content being an assistant for Bluder.

The coaching staff at Iowa is very similar to ISU, they've been with Bluder at Drake and in IC. The only job that ever changes is her Director of Operations. Barta isn't going to do anything unless they completely fall apart. As long as UI continues to finish in the upper 1/2 of the weak 10 and make the tourney Bluder will have a job for life.

Jensen makes over $100,000 at Iowa and has her family here. She enjoys the Iowa City lifestyle. Her kids haven't started school yet. Drake would have to have a very good offer.

Hardly. We don't have anyone who recruits with the charisma of Shannon Gage, and she was not at Drake with Bluder.

BCS schools really need to up their recruiting prowess. It takers more than a great program and leadership training.coaching and fantastic fans. You have to sell the program better.
