If the decision for Easley to go was actually BF's, then there shouldn't be any problem. I guess this was the case, otherwise, BF wouldn't let him go to Okie State
Does one season at Providence College really negate the fact that he spent 19 seasons at Okie State before coming to Iowa State? Why would Bill refuse to let Jack go back to Okie State, especially after what happened to their program in the last six months? Sometimes this kind of pettiness can sully your name in coaching circles.Quote:

Unlike athletes, I don't think you can do anything to keep someone from going to a competitor as a coach.

I'm confused, why would you think when someone is let go that that would only take a better position than the one they lost? Perhaps one that pays less and has easier hours/less travel is a good choice for someone approaching retirement age?Quote:

Losing Jack hurts us some. Losing him to OK State makes it worse. Going to need a really good hire if we are to wind up better than before he left.
The Bolte hire surprised me somewhat considering she has little to no experience as anything but a player.
