Tyseanna Johnson
For starters: Welcome, and recruiting visits looming for ISU women | Ames Tribune
The weekend of Sept. 29 is expected to be a big recruiting weekend for ISU. Rebekah Dahlman, a guard and top-20 prospect in the 2013 class who attends Braham High in Minnesota, is expected to make her official visit. She's also considering Vanderbilt, Minnesota, Tennessee and Florida.
In addition, there's a good chance another 2013 guard, Tyseanna Johnson, who attends Da La Salle High in the Minneapolis area, visits as well. I recently talked to Faith Johnson-Patterson, her coach and aunt, and she said she thought Tyseanna would visit the weekend of Sept. 29, though it just wasn't officially set yet. So look for her -- as well as current ISU commit Jadda Buckley of Mason City -- to be in Ames that weekend.
...
ISU is expected to be Johnson's final visit, Johnson-Patterson said, and the plan is for her to announce her college decision soon after. Creighton and Minnesota are two of the other schools involved in her recruitment.

Re: Tyseanna Johnson
Boy, have we got the coaching staff for her. Both Billy and CFH can relate to her brother's heart problem. CFH might help with his Minneapolis connections as well.. Could see her brother coming to school with her, albeit he can no longer play basketball.

Re: Tyseanna Johnson
Would love to sign both! What can we expect for bigs in this next class?...havent heard too much after that UCLA commit

Re: Tyseanna Johnson
Everything I read has her around the #3 or #4 player in an absolutely loaded 2013 MN class. (Nia Coffee -- Northwestern verbal -- and Rebekah Dahlman are the consensus top two). She'd be a really nice get at a position we don't really have much of right now. Brynn is really the only wing-ish player we have, although we have some combo guards who could play in that role if needed.

Re: Tyseanna Johnson
Looks like Katelyn Weber will be joining Dahlman, Johnson, and Buckley next week. Glad to have a commit visiting at the same time in Jadda. Women
Go clones!

Go clones! It sounds like Weber might be the recruit that was at the volleyball game with the team this weekend?

Re: Tyseanna Johnson
Also of note, it's mentioned that Carlie Wagner visited as well.

Go clones! Let's hope all these coming on the same weekend might build some comradeship, and we can get some commitments!

Re: Tyseanna Johnson
I had never heard of Wagner, but Mred's mention of her made me do some research. She is well worth going after; a very impressive record.

Re: Tyseanna Johnson
Comraderie may occur to a point among high profile players in situations of recruiting but mostly it is avoidance if they compete for the same position. Maybe there are a few cases in WBB but I can not recall (other than siblings) coordinating their commitments. High profile recruits are independent to begin with and each has goals as to where they would fit with winning, majors and an social fit in the mix.
