And here is hoping that by seasons' end, Emiah or Kidd are Freshman POY. Think Alexis Prince is of the talent level to get the recognition, but I don't know if she will see the minutes(never know with KM) but she has three returning starters 1-3, where Emiah and Kidd will need to contribute right away.

Re: WBB media day
Keep in mind the preseason team is only 5 players while the postseason one is 10 (plus a 5-player 2nd team). Had this been a full list like the postseason, I bet Prins, HC, and/or Moody would have been at least HM.

When he signed Pop, two Div III coaches told him she wasn't good enough to play for them.

Anna has missed 150 practices in her career. She's in the best shape athletically and health-wise she's ever been in.
Z has fought a foot issue. Baier had surgery in April and couldn't play now if there were a game today.

This. So excited to see what she can do this season.

Re: WBB media day
Bingley and Kidd will have to play, and they need to learn quickly. Nikki learned quickly last season, and it helped a lot.
Team needs to cut down on turnovers (front- and back-court) and shoot better.

Re: WBB media day
I had work to do during the media session so I couldn't pay full attention, but those are the biggest notes.

Interview with Walters:
Mansfield could score. Cole could defend. Brynn needs to step up to fill those roles. She's long and athletic, and she's capable of shooting well. She'll play a big role.
BF said both during the conference and the interview: if Big 12 all-freshmen team is the highlight of Moody's career, neither Moody nor Bill did their jobs.

Re: WBB media day
Bill did mention that Pop worked on her face to the basket stuff over the summer.
Hallie is also talking about working on perimeter skills over the summer.

Re: WBB media day
I thought it was good. I wish we could have heard a little more from the players, especially the new players, but it was good.
I hope Pop can control her fouling better and get more time on the floor this year, like they plan. Also hope the team as a whole can improve in their shooting, especially from outside. The freshman should help with that, and it sounds like most of the others have been working on it, so hope it works.

Nice article by Ian. Chris posted a new thread for it, but I'm posting it here as well.
