Re: Preview of the first exhibition
Northwest Missouri State was a bad team last year and doesn't return much. The coaches and media picked them 14th in the 15-team MIAA (Div II) Conference. Their top returning scorer averaged 5.5 ppg last season. As BF said in the video in the article linked above, they have a new coach and a lot of new players, so there's no way to really know what to expect from them. And also like he said in the video, it really shouldn't matter.
Re: Preview of the first exhibition
Just hope no one gets injured.

The backcourt is thin, and with Baier out with an injury, so is the frontcourt. We really can't afford injuries this season.
Re: Preview of the first exhibition
A bit of useless trivia... Maggie Marnin from Stuart and Tember Scheckinger (sp?) of IKM-Manning play for the Bearcats.

I'm not sure why you think the front court is thin. We have Pop, Prins, Zimmermann, and probably could include Ellis since that is where she played last year. That's as much depth as any position we have. I never expected Baier to make much of a contribution this year right out of high school.

Ellis completely slipped my mind, since there hasn't been much Ellis talk. That's 5 players for two positions, so I'll retract what I said. An injury to one of our top three posts would cause a serious downgrade, but Z and Ellis are both capable of joining that rotation if needed.

with Hallie, Pop, and Prins starting, who comes in to spell them if they get tired? Zimm is out with a bum ankle, so we have 1 (ellis) to cover 3 positions? Pop and Hallie will play alot of minutes (and hopefully Anna will this year too) but if one goes down we will be very thin here, especially with Baier out.

I doubt those three will all start past the first few games. I imagine Kidd or Em will start at 2G and Brynn will slide over to 3G.
Re: Preview of the first exhibition
Can we please steer clear of any injury talk PLEASE!!!!!
Re: Preview of the first exhibition
Haven't heard anything about Zimm having continued problems with her ankle.

Williamson will move to the frontcourt and likely the first player to sub in for HC, Pop and Prins when needed. I don't see the rotation expanding past 7 (Bingley and Kidd off the bench) unless Ellis has significantly improved and Zimmerman gets healthy.
Re: Preview of the first exhibition
Ellis def showed promise last year. Hoping 2nd time around is better!
Re: Preview of the first exhibition
Iowa State wins by 60. There's your preview.

Tember Schechinger (NWMSU) and Ashley Hagedorn (ISU) were high school teammates at IKM and then at IKM Manning as well.
