***Official Early Signing Day Thread***
Get that NLI in ASAP, Jadda.

Re: ***Official Early Signing Day Thread***
Once Jadda is on board, it looks to me our backcourt is going to be set up very well for 2-3 years at least. Right now, other than just inexperienced, it seems to need one more guard for solid depth. Give BF that much time with talented 1s and 2s, lookout.

Next year, depth and inexperience won't be an issue at all in the backcourt. The frontcourt might be a different story, even with Jensen coming in. If we get Potter, then I won't be too worried about depth.

Re: ***Official Early Signing Day Thread***
By the way, the Ames Trib's Cody Westerlund tweeted yesterday that Lexi Albrecht (Carroll Kuemper) is expected to join the team next season as a preferred walk-on.

According to the WBB twitter account, Johnson and Jensen have officially signed.

Re: ***Official Early Signing Day Thread***
Lexi Albrecht is officially going to be walking-on next season. Not sure if walk-ons sign an NLI. @CycloneWBB originally called her a 5-1 G/F, then corrected it to 5-10. I'm not sure a 5-1 player is allowed to play forward... :)

Re: ***Official Early Signing Day Thread***
I'm sure this has been asked before, but what is the difference between a walk-on, and a preferred walk-on?

Generally, a walk-on is given a tryout when they first get on campus. A preferred walk-on is told they have a spot on the team prior to coming. Basically, that means a regular walk-on is unrecruited and a preferred walk-on is recruited.
If I had to guess, I'd say Albrecht likely turned down scholarships (Div II, maybe low-level Div I) to walk-on at ISU, but she wouldn't do that without assurance from the coaching staff that they'd guarantee her a walk-on spot.

Re: ***Official Early Signing Day Thread***
Buckley has now officially signed. We are just waiting on Potter to make a decision. The early signing period is a week long, so she may not decide today.

Let the Potter Watch begin! Good feeling about Potter signing with ISU, Mred?

Re: ***Official Early Signing Day Thread***
As mred notes, a 50-50 chance on Potter is good, and the only better number is having the final decision for ISU. That would be awesome.
The following tweets went out from today's signees, who are obviously also interested in having Potter as a teammate! Seanna Johnson @SeannaJohnson22 s/o to @empotter10 making her decision!!! Think #CyclONEnation :) Jadda Buckley @jdbucks11 Looking forward to signing with my future teammates tomorrow, hoping @empotter10 joins the fun!! #cyclONEnation
