Stanford ends Baylor 42-game streak
Greenfield had 16 points to help fuel the win in Hawaii Tourney. Baylor still favored to win Final Four and this may be a "good loss" if there is one. Stanford Snaps Baylor Women's Basketball's 42-Game Winning Streak | Bleacher Report -

Baylor's all world point guard Sims only played 4 mins...probably has something to do with it.

Baylor Lady Bears vs. Stanford Cardinal - Recap - November 16, 2012 - ESPN
Brittney messed up in the end, they had her triple-teamed and she still tried to score the winning shot. Someone must have been wide open.

I understand the anger. I read all about this at the end of last year. She doesn't deserve the crap she has received.

Re: Stanford ends Baylor 42-game streak
"You don't ever want to lose. You're in Hawaii; you're not under the normal
circumstances of a regular practice schedule. You're enjoying the beach and not
having as much time to prepare," Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said. "We played
Kentucky and had a quick tunaround to come here. It's a great schedule for us to
prepare for another national championship."
Wow - So under normal circumstances they would beat Stanford? They are just so arrogant - I usually always cheer for Big 12 schools but I could never cheer for Kim and her team. She got lucky/illegally recruited Griner - that is one of the only reasons that Baylor is in the position that they are in. Way too arrogant!

Re: Stanford ends Baylor 42-game streak
I agree about that program. I like the coach for Stanford. I would rather have Iowa State beat them, but Stanford, I sure won't cry about it. I still wonder why they didn't get in more trouble, at least it sounded pretty shady to me.

Let's not forget how favorable Stanford is treated in Hawaii by the officiating either.
I feel sorry for Stanford if they meet up with Baylor in the tourney.

Re: Stanford ends Baylor 42-game streak
Although I like Stanford's team and it's good to see Baylor challenged, this really comes down to Sims going out of the game. Give credit to Mulkey for not using that as an excuse (or at least not emphasizing it). But Sims makes that team go, as much as it causes me pain to say so. When she went out, Baylor reeled, and went down by double digits. They caught back up at the half. They adjusted, and made a game of it. If Sims is playing, I think Stanford is down double digits. They don't have the guard court to match Sims. As it is, VanDerveer had a Fennelly-like game plan, and when the odds went in their favor, took advantage of it.

Re: Stanford ends Baylor 42-game streak
I was shocked by the news. Thought it'd be another undefeated season.
Anyone know exactly what happened to Sims? I've only heard hamstring but haven't heard anything as to how serious.
