I want another girl's basketball game.
I feel cheated that the game got cancelled the other night. I had my cyclone.com all fired up, but nothing to fire it to. Now I am depressed. Make that game up soon, I understand the kids want to go home for Christmas. I have to goof up my Christmas every year because of my job. Do I feel sorry for the players, yes. And I feel sorry for myself. I want basketball.

If you want to see girls play, there might be some local high school games on the schedule.

Nothing until the end of next week and then there is an away girl's tournament. I don't even know if I will be around. There is nothing going to happen. I might as well just try to live with it. I can't really stand pro-games, but I suppose I could switch one on just out of boredom. I had to miss all of the local games before Christmas because I was too busy. Now things have finally let up, no more games. That is my life in a nutshell.

The last game at Hilton was the double-header two weeks ago on the 9th of December. I will miss the games because of the bowl game, so the next game I can attend will be the game on the 2nd of January. That's nearly a month without a visit to Hilton. I'm having withdrawal symptoms.

Re: I want another girl's basketball game.
Don't know who set up these schedules for both WBB and MBB, but it seems they weren't thinking about the loyal fans and marketing. Maybe they conciously decided there was no need to play while the students were taking finals or on break. We'll see how the teams perform coming out of the break, will they be flat and out of shape, or refreshed and energized after using the time to work on weaknesses before conference starts?

I think at the college level they would prefer to be called women.

For crying out loud, this is a site for fanatics. If that is creepy then we are all creepy. I too miss a home game. Call me creepy but I do buy tickets.

Re: I want another girl's basketball game.
I don't know too many people who aren't fanatical about something to the point that it gets a little creepy. I won't name any names. I won't call them girl's anymore if it bothers ya'all. My daughter is quite a bit older than they are, so they do seem young to me. Some of us are just old. That may seem creepy, but don't worry, you can comfort yourself in we will probably be dead before you are. Or is that more offensive creepiness?

Now finding Pro Sports, and maybe much of high-end D-1, overly monied the purity of WBB and VB is refreshing and a vicarious joy after seeing my gifted athlete daughter dropping sports to focus on scholastics.
