I second that about Kidd. She played some good minutes off the bench tonight. The announcer was driving me crazy. I haven't heard that much twang since Loretta Lynn quit making records. Geeze, he was folksy. Good close game and we will have to get use to them because I think all the conference games will be like this one. Go Sisters...

Agree! Our posts would get called for simply turning into the defenders, but their guards could blanket and whack us, and nothing called. I thought it was especially bad how they leaned all over Prins on the perimeter. She really did an amazing job handling that type of pressure.

The play on which Nikki got hurt driving into the lane was a huge missed called. The TTU defender should have gotten a blocking call for stepping into her path and basically sending her flying. The announcers said that she was out of control, but that's not true when looking at a replay.

The inconsistency was especially frustrating given that TTU should have been in foul trouble based on their pressure tactics. However, it must have generally confused the refs, because there were poor calls affecting both teams. We got a couple in our favor that helped too.

I think what bothered me most last night about the officiating was the lack of "holding" calls. Tech was literally wrapping their arms around our posts(who then when passed to, couldn't "get" to the ball.

And, so much for hand-checking being a point of emphasis in the women's game this year.
