Need a good win today against TCU to completely flush the memory of Wednesday night away. Hope everyone (Pop and Hallie, especially) is fired up and really takes it to the Horny-Toads.

Re: ***Official I SU (women) vs TCU Game Day Thread***

This game couldn't come at a better time for ISU. Should be a good one for Pops & Prins to get back on track. I was at the TT game in Lubbock and actually left a little disappointed. Tech is weak in the post and so is TCU. That's why I was expecting a field day for Pops & Prins. After going up and watching BU & TCU play, I came on this board, like a fool, and predicted that TCU probably wouldn't win a conference game. Now I fear they're going to make me eat crow. They gave away the KSU game, and the OU game. I watched the Thursday morning FSSW replay of that game, and TCU lead most of the time, as high as 7 points with 3-4 minutes to play. But absolutely tripped over their own shoestrings and gave it up. But with all that being said, I feel sure this game is yours for the taking today. Will be rooting for the Cyclones.

As far as the BU game is concerned, I was there too of course. It appeared that the girls were just overwhelmed with the task at hand. As some are suggesting it is best to forget and move on. This BU team is one of the top 5 teams ever assembled, so there is certainly no shame in losing to them, especially here in Waco. Naturally being from here I am one of their proudest fans, but that doesn't prevent me from having a 2nd love. As I've said before, I believe 2nd place is up for grabs in the Big 12. A win over TCU today is probably a MUST if ISU winds up there. I believe you can, and will. GO CLONES.

I'm interested to see how Pop and Hallie play after what has to be one of the worst, if not the worst game of their careers in terms of scoring.

This game also is interesting because it features a return to hilton for former cyclone Whitney Williams. I hope even if she is a visitor that she gets a warm reaction from the fans when she comes into the game.

Whit doesn't appear to be much of a factor. Kind of leveled off since she left. Maybe that's why she left, was she going to go the way of the bench her last two years, kind of like Florzak and Mosman?

I'll always remember that one night at Element when I first met Florzak in person... Those were the days.

Whitney got no reaction from the crowd, she was just another player for TCU.

Re: ***Official I SU (women) vs TCU Game Day Thread***

Iowa State really looked out of sink in the first half. I had to leave and do something else in the second half, and so I didn't get to see them come together. One of the things that I find strange, Moody shot 7 shots and 5 of them were threes. I think she has lots of driving and running jump shot ability.

Poppens scored the lions share of the points, and that is good to see her have a strong scoring game.

I am not worried about this team, but they need to try to come out strong in the first half. They made lots of turnovers in the first half and then shut that down in the second half. Coach thought that was the difference in the game.
