She has been for years and so has Enterline. So for those wondering how the refs could allow the game to get so unruly, there's a big part of the answer. I don't even know that it was unruly compared to others? It was what it was, but our kids could draw more attention to post position, especially Hallie. She had mismatches inside and our guards couldn't hit her, even though Hallie had a great game.

Is Mattingly the one with the ponytail..? She is always bad in Hilton.

A win is a win. WVU has lost close games to very good teams, so it's a very good win as well, even though WVU's record has taken a beating.
So big congrats to the team for pulling this one out. ISU got a few breaks when WVU missed shots and free throws. Okay to get those sometimes and take advantage. But ISU also was hurt by a few bad calls, especially the fouls called on Pop. Seems like there's barely contact and they are blowing the whistle on her. Hard to figure with as much contact as goes on down low.
Good thing Hallie was making baskets! She seems to be benefiting from playing just about anywhere on the floor right now, as the defense can't match up with her very well.
Good thing WVU was held to 15 points in the second half! That's how ISU earned this victory.

A win is a win... but this was a very frustrating game to watch with all the turnovers. The turnovers we are making are just ridiculous. If it's possible, poor play leading to turnovers looked even worse than it has in the last couple of games. Admittedly it's easy to watch and judge, but high school players would not make some of the mistakes our players are making. That suggests they are not comfortable or confident with what they are doing. That should be getting better not worse, otherwise the wins are going to be few and far between.

The turnovers were horrible to say the least. Its like they are running plays and sets not paying attention to what te other team is doing. The passes to the wing and high post when bringing the ball are glaring as were the post to post passes at the feet of our players.
Was a little frustrated that we didn't get Anna posted up on the inside. Switching on us will continue to challenge us with only one penetrator. Lacey should come in and work with Brynn on how to manage a high dribble.

... Lacey should come in and work with Brynn on how to manage a high dribble. Both of these thoughts popped into my head too. When passing or handing off the ball, it appears as though our players think the other team has not scouted them and/or that they think the other team will simply stand back and watch us move the ball around.
I've noticed Brynn's high dribble, but had not made the comparison to Alison's. There is hope yet then.
