    Re: Twister Sisters vs MU

Good win. Need to get these supposedly easy ones when the rest of the league is so tough.

Cyclones improve to 15-7, 4-5 in conference play.

    Sisters host KSU on Wednesday.

I'm not sure if he has one on TV, but both coaches do a show on Monday nights on the radio...if you're in the Ames area, it's pretty cool to go watch them do it at Applebee's.

I had to work, but, will watch this one on Clone Zone. I'm interested in seeing Anderson. Our guards can play with anyone. If Anderson asserts herself - anything is possible. KSU is ranked, very good and trounced us at their house. But, KSU is largely a guard team and I think we were very depressed when we played there. This is a winnable game and would be a very impressive $ on our resume.

Man, Bill Fennelly is truly making "bricks without straw" here. I have no idea how he keeps building winning teams, year after year.

I cannot overstate how much admiration I have for that man.

    Way to go Cyclones!!!!

    Re: Twister Sisters vs MU

This team could easily be 18-4 (7-2) instead of 15-7 (4-5), too.

3 point home loss to Oklahoma (so many chances)
3 point road loss at Texas (Wieben injured during second half)
3 point road loss at Kansas (games are always ugly in that building)

The K-State game this week will be the one that determines postseason play, IMO. A win and ISU looks to be in line for a 7-9 finish (18-11) and the need for probably just 1 win in KC.

The NCAA committee may give ISU the benefit of the doubt (injuries), plus the scare of losing their arse money-wise if ISU isn't in the Dance. Without ISU, the Des Moines games will be a wasteland unless Kansas State, Minnesota or Oklahoma are in town.
