Seeding possibilities for the Big 12 Tournament
Seeding possibilities:
If we lose and Texas beats Tech, we get the 8 seed.
If we win and Oklahoma State beats Baylor and Oklahoma beats A&M, we get the 6 seed.
Otherwise, we get the 7 seed.
6 plays 11, 7 plays 10, 8 plays 9. The 9-11 seeds will be Colorado, Kansas and Tech (not necessarily in that order), so we will definitely play one of those three teams in the first round.
As for the next round, the 1 and 2 seeds are Kansas State and Baylor (also not necessarily in that order -- Baylor beat KSU head-to-head, so they hold the tiebreaker), so if we win in the first round we'll get one of those two in the second round unless we manage to get the 6 seed. If we do get the 6 seed, the second-round opponent is the 3 seed, which could be OU, OSU, or A&M.
Big 12 WBB bracket generator
(EDIT: as noted below by theshadow, there are scenarios where Oklahoma can get the #2 seed over Kansas State, so this isn't entirely correct.)

Thanks mred for figuring that out.

Re: Seeding possibilities for the Big 12 Tournament
great post. lets hope whoever we play the outcome will be that we will win

Re: Seeding possibilities for the Big 12 Tournament
OU could still be the 2, but it would take:
KU beating KSU in Lawrence
OSU over BU in Waco
OU over A&M in College Station
A 3-way tie at 12-4 would make BU #1, OU #2, KSU #3
BU swept OU
KSU lost to both BU and OU

Re: Seeding possibilities for the Big 12 Tournament
You're right. :) I missed that one.
(EDIT: the above scenario doesn't even depend on Baylor losing. If Baylor wins and the other two games end up as listed above, OU wins the two-way tiebreaker against KSU for the 2 seed.)

Re: Seeding possibilities for the Big 12 Tournament
whatever happens, im lookin forward to the game on the 15th against whoever we play Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -

To quote Austin Powers...
"Nerd alert..." Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

Re: Seeding possibilities for the Big 12 Tournament
We have the 8 seed wrapped up now after that loss to NU last night. 8 is not a good seed to have! We have to play at 12 AM Tues and 12 AM Wed if we win. It is going to be hard to make it down for the game. If people where going to head down for the Men's game on Wednesday and wanted to catch teh Women's game, they are going to have to leave extra early :(

Re: Seeding possibilities for the Big 12 Tournament
Where ever we are seeded, no one will want to play us in the tourny. It is amazing how when our offense is down, our defense will pick right up and keep the game close. BF is doing an amazing job this season. Remember ISU women's basketball before him?

Re: Seeding possibilities for the Big 12 Tournament
We will play Colorado (regular-season sweep), then would face either Baylor (5-point loss without Nisleit) or Kansas State (1 blowout, 1 nailbiter) on Wednesday.
