After a season of improbable injuries piled on top of each other, who would have thought that in mid-March Coach Bill Fennelly wouldn’t be able to wipe that huge infectious grin off his face? Although they had to hold on and wait with everybody until their name was announced last night, the Cyclone Women’s basketball players were rewarded for their hard work with a first (and potentially second) round game at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines and a #7 seed in the NCAA Tournament. They will square off against the #10 seed Georgia Tech at 11:00 AM on Saturday, and tickets went on sale this morning.
