Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.
ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." | |

Well, si.com might be what you call an "overrated" sports website. I mean, after all, it's a site that I check well after I've checked out espn.com, cbs.sportsline.com, foxsports.com, etc. In fact, I usually don't even care what they have to say unless I get linked there from another website. Maybe not so much "overrated" as much as "irrelevant." I think CN got more viewers last month than SI did...

I hope Fennelly posts that in the locker room for some motivation. The fact they didn't completely crumble after Wieben went down as well as knocking off or hanging with ranked opponents down the stretch is a huge credit to the coaching job Fennelly did. This was a bonafide NCAA team before Ross and Wieben went down and yes we lack depth because we lost our starting 2 post players dummy! That would be like saying you're in debt because you have loans, its stating the obvious.
They aren't the best team in the tournament but they deserve to be there and proved it by winning in the first round.
