This weekend the big 12 women went 8 for 8 in the NCAA tournament. I think that this shows that the Big 12 is the toughest, top to bottom, in the entire country! There are also 3 other Big 12 teams in the NIT!! A total of 11 of the 12 teams made the post season. Texas Tech won their first game in the NIt, making the big 12 9 for 9 in total.
Also, the Big 11 went 1 for 4 including their co-champs both going down in upsets, lol!! :biggrin:
That's pretty impressive. I wonder what the record is for most wins in the post season by one conference?
You know the respect is there for the Big 12. Iowa State got a #7 seed as the 8th team in the Big 12. The Iowa women were co-champs of the Big 10 and got a 9 seed.
Big XII WBB = the "class" of the NCAAs.

So if 8 Big 12 teams and 7 Big East teams advanced. That means almost half the remaining field is made up from 2 conferences. (15 of 32 ~ 47%)Quote:
