Credits: 663,776 | Huge Weakness for ISU I watched a full Womens basketball game for the first time ever last night. I could not beleive how slow the ISU womens team is compared to Rutgers. My question is Rutgers that quick of a team or do we look this slow against everyone. Is there a recruit that is comming in that can pick up the quickness level of this team? I really like the way they play. Kind of like Drake men's team but at the same time I don't see them getting to the final 4 ever if they don't get some quicker players on that team. |

Other than that, the game was close when it could have been a blow out. I was impressed. They definitely have quicker smarter passes when working the ball around than our guys do.

So yes, they are that quick.

The reports on the 3 recruits coming in next year describe them as a prototype point guard, a combo guard with a good handle and shot, and an athletic forward. Not sure about quickness, but I agree that an upgrade is needed. Improved ball handling coming from the 2 guards should help in handling pressure defenses. |

-keep. And they're the one team that beat UCONN this year.
I think how we played yesterday was pretty impressive.

That said...styles are different for each team as they work on enhance their strengths and avoid their weaknesses. Rutgers is a quick, physical team that returned all of their players from last year's national championship game -- which they lost.
This has been a difficult year for ISU given the lack of a true point guard and the injuries to the two post players. That said they were competitive in most games and have a bright future (imo) as they are all returning with a lot of experience for next year. Help should be on the way at point guard.

It worked out for the most part I would say. They really could have used a dominant post to put Rutgers' bohemoth to rest.

Personally, I think Fennelly is a genius that he can continue to produce these above avg. teams with avg. athletes. |

Stacey Frese...Lindsey Wilson..Anne O'neal.. Lyndsay Medders..... get another player like any one of them..look out..

I don't understand how a girl as fat as there center can dominate a game. I also noticed that none of our girls had any muscle definition. Is that not part of the off season workouts? I like when they do well. I really do it's just that I don't understand the game at all. I also think they pick a bad time to have there tourny. It should come about a month earlier to build excitement for it instead of having it right in the middle of the men's tourny. |
