I know we were in the top ten this year for natioanl attendance, but the Big XII is the number one conference. You have to believe that our fans are a huge recruiting tool for prospective students!

6. Maryland 9,533
7. Iowa State 8,906
19. Texas 5,044
Georgia, Colorado and Kansas State did not make the top twenty.

looks like her schools have changed a little bit, but ISU remains. Fennelly is the man, but he has been loosing recruiting battles with K-State of late. My guess is Texas and KSU are our challengers for her. I don't think she would fit Maryland's system well. |

Wow, that could be a sensational 2009 class. Chelsea Poppens and Amanda Zimmerman are committed, the fine player from Michigan, Jessica Schroll, is also a commitment (her high school coach believes she's one of the nation's top 15 players; the Trib ran a story on her a couple of days ago, too), and should Prins come aboard, well, then. . . .
And add that 2009 class to the 2008 signed class now in Ames, and you've got to wonder if Bill isn't about to elevate the program to the next level. Anyone who's a close observer of the wbb program care to make a comment or two about this possibility (I hope)?
Prins takes Ames http://www.midiowanews.com/site/tab6...d=554520&rfi=6
Cyclone spotlight on forward Amanda Zimmerman http://www.midiowanews.com/site/tab6...d=554520&rfi=6
Cyclones take a look into the future (Jessica Schroll, Michigan) http://www.midiowanews.com/site/inde...d=554188&rfi=8
(I believe one of these three stories mentions that all the 2008 signees and 2009 commitments were at the elite camp just held. Plus, since Anna Prins was on hand, prospects, too. Musta been some camp!)

i would not be suprised to see this team in the top 25 for the next 5 yrs if this girl comes, and yes i am including this up coming year with all the talent we have returning, the key will be the PG coming in this year, what we lacked last year was a natural PG, Lacey is more of a SG, dont get me wrong she did an outstanding job, but if we can have a PG like we have had in the past.. this team could be once again one of the most over looked teams in the nation

Part of her great excitement for her Ames experience was working with 2008 point guard Alexis Yackley. I thought Anna's comments were eye-opening in several ways.
(Note: Amanda Zimmerman is 6-3, Anna Prins 6-6. . . .)

A true post would seem to be just what this team is waiting for. |

Thank you, fulll02! About the same time you posted, I searched Tribune archives for "Michigan" and found the story. Added its URL to the other two in an above post.
Thanks for your help, appreciate it. |

Well, if she's 6-6, I'd say her dad would almost have to be 7-0 based on this photo: |
