Voepel rules! wish she was still at the star. That is a big loss for Big 12 media coverage of women's sports.

Are you sure she left the Star? On ESPN articles, she's usually credited as an ESPN.com contributor, but she was still a columnist for the Star.

She did leave the Star. They let a bunch of people go in a series of cost-cutting measures, and she was let go in September.

My money goes to ISU for coaches like Bill F and his team for the excellence on and off the court. He is a living legend and this is what I wish to see from an athletic department.

Wow, and one of the individual contributors had us ranked at No. 14. Getting some serious recognition, and it's well-deserved considering our season last year despite huge injury issues.

Oh, wow.

That is too bad, but I read most of her stuff on ESPN anyway, so I guess I won't be any worse for wear. It seems like she remains assigned primarily to the Big XII, so as long as that holds, I'm cool with it.

Wishing for an injury-free season for any women's basketball team is a lot like wishing for the sun not to rise. You can wish all you want, but that sun is still going to come up tomorrow morning....trust me.

I think 22nd is too low-I was thinking top 15 team. Hopefully after getting some big wins.

This is a great team! If they overachieve the way most of Coach Fennelly’s teams do it’s going to be a special year!

This will be a tough year, schedule wise. Away games against: TT, BU and OU. Plus the KSU and KU North games. We will make the tourney, the question is at what seed. This schedule while tough, WILL get us ready for a S16 birth! Adversity during conference opponents, only pays dividends at the tourney.
