Special treat at upcoming KSU @ ISU game

An interesting tidbit from the last sentence of the ISU-Missouri writeup...

At halftime of the KSU @ ISU game, ISU will be honoring the 98-99 ISU Elite Eight team. We would so be there (with our "Erica Haugen Fan Club" sign) but we'll be in Wisconsin that weekend. I still remember watching the ISU-UConn game in the North Grand Mall Sears with a couple dozen other people (including a few Sears employees) since I had no access to cable at the time.

There were a lot of all-time greats on that team. The main rotation was Stacy Frese, Megan Taylor, Tracy Gahan, and Erica Haugen for the three guard spots and Angie Welle, Desiree Francis, and Monica Huelman for the two post spots.

The assistant coaches were Katie Abrahamson(now -Henderson, assoc head coach at Indiana after a year as an assistant at Washington following 5 seasons as SMS/MO State head coach), Brenda Frese (you know where she is), and Latoja Harris (now Schaeben, current ISU assistant).

I can't wait for this either as I was in Cincy and saw the UCONN win in person. One of the best experiences in my life and I'll never forget it.
