Finally back home. I went to the game with ISUbballfan and my aunt and uncle who live in Des Moines. We pulled into Des Moines around 2 AM and came the rest of the way today. THAT IS HOW TO DO A ROAD TRIP!!!!!!! Psyched to finally leave Lincoln with a W. Great efforts by everyone especially Heather who played last night while battling with strep throat. This break couldn't come at a better time. Rest up ladies because in 1 week we deliver some payback to KSU. The best part of the night was sitting and talking at the game with the man who gave Bill his start in the coaching profession.

You can't leave it like that. Tell us more.
“We’ve got a pretty good football conference, and we’ve got a pretty good conference overall. We’re still walking around with our heads held high and our chest out, about that.” Paul Rhoads
His name is Bob Spencer. He was coaching William Penn when he gave Bill his start and then when Coach Spencer went to Fresno St Bill went with him there. I told Coach Spencer that he mentored Bill very well and he said he didn't have to do much as Bill had coaching in his blood. I could of talked basketball with Mr Spencer for hours.
Not to hijack the thread, but Bob Spencer led years of girls basketball camps at Wm. Penn. I remember going one year. As things have evolved, we were nowhere near close to what's required now in high school let alone college.
Heather Ezell is the kind of player I wish I would have been. (although that was the 6 on 6 days, to date myself.)
