Re: ISU ESPN' pick to win Saturday
Voepel picks every single Big XII team to win - she's a little bit of a homer Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -
Re: ISU ESPN' pick to win Saturday
We definitely have the easiest path to the Elite 8 of all Big 12 teams.
What never registered with me is that this is ISU's first trip to the Sweet 16, off their home court.

Personally, I have all 4 Big XII schools in the Sweet 16 in the CF pool. I also have 3 going to the Elite 8. It isn't homerism, its genius. -

The Big 12 is so much tougher than the rest of the country, I would be shocked if we did get at least one team into the final 4.
Listen to the one who is 2nd in the said pool, I can taste those 10 million credits -

This would be the year to go further. We play a nine seed.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: ISU ESPN' pick to win Saturday
I'm tied for 26th which is a lot better than it sounds since its only 7 spots out of 1st. I have 12 out of 16 teams still. I'm pretty happy where I am. I came in 3rd or 4th last year I think.

I'm in good position, but as I get closer to the end I'm afraid I'm going to trouble. I still think I'll finish in the top 10.
The night before the deadline, I went through and created a second bracket and I really got into it, unlike the first one. I'm glad I did because my first bracket is ranked in the hundreds.

Don't overlook the Spartens, They have a great 3 point shot defense.

Re: ISU ESPN' pick to win Saturday
No. 9 Michigan State vs. No. 4 Iowa State (ESPN, 9 p.m. ET Saturday)
On at least the most basic level, this matchup isn't especially complicated. It's the Big 12's most prolific 3-point-shooting team against the Big Ten's best 3-point-shooting defense.
If Alison Lacey, Kelsey Bolte and Heather Ezell shoot well, Iowa State likely will win. Those three were a combined 18-of-46 from behind the arc in the first two rounds. Michigan State, meanwhile, has allowed a total of 22 3-pointers in its past five games.
But the X factor in this game could prove to be Michigan State's ability to create second chances when it has the ball. The Spartans are 11th in the nation in rebounding margin, an important trait for a team that shoots 41.9 percent from the floor. (Michigan State had 30 total offensive rebounds against Middle Tennessee and Duke.) But Iowa State was one of just three major-conference programs to rank in the top 30 nationally in both 3-point field goals per game and rebounding margin. The other two: Connecticut and Maryland. -- Graham Hays Women's NCAA tournament: Sweet 16 X factors - ESPN
Is Hays comparing ISU to Connecticut and Maryland?
