Is Bill Fennelly the most brilliant strategist in the history of basketball?
First of all, losing to Stanford early in the season by 40 was a brilliant tactic. BF must have seen the elite 8 match-up in the future. And, as any brilliant strategist knows, the best way to beat an equal adversary is to give them false confidence so they let their gaurd down.
Then, to have our posts play so poorly against MSU to reinforce the idea that we won't be able to D up or take it inside at all against them - terrific strategy!
Finally, the icing on the cake - to have our kids act tired at the end of the game and let MSU back in the game. Ubelievable!!!!!
Yeah, Bill Fennelly is a brilliant strategist, but wouldn't it be cool to see a matchup with #1 Marylands head coach?
What a National Championship that would be. Wow! I'm no longer get ahead of myself, as I thought we had the elite eight locked up, but little did I know they were gonna give us a run for our money. Here's to Bill getting the Twister Sisters straighted out from earlier this year against the drunken trees...
41-53 Record in CF Mafia. The most games played and wins by any player in Cyclone Fanatic History. Yes, I'm a nerd.
I don't think I've ever heard a national broadcaster acknowledge that Brenda is a former Fennelly assistant.
They mentioned her background in a first or second-round game last weekend, that she was an assistant at Kent State and Iowa State.
Her coaching style - offense and defense - is certainly nothing like Fennelly's though...
