Have you seen how big she is and how agressive she post up?? She has a very wide and low base, good luck pushing her off the block.

I don't think anyone is saying BF is a bad coach. I just think people are questioning his stretegy.
Clearly, as he mentioned in his halftime interview, he's going to make her beat us and try to shut down everyone else. Sounds like he's just going to try to outscore them by trading 2s for 3s. Good point. It's not as if Stanford is a one-man team - they have scorers everywhere.

I just find it kinda funny that the same people whining about McDermott not making in game adjustments aren't whining about Bill. Yes, we aren't the most talented team, but he's got us this far. The problem is that he has proven he's a better coach than he's showing right now. This group of girls can get out of a deep hole because of their ability to rain threes, but you gotta get some stops on defense, and you gotta get some boards.

Bad news is... this looks almost exactly like the last time we played them. Actually, we were down 22 at half last time we played. So we're actually playing significantly better .

Cycloneworld and bellzisu wouldn't know the difference between a compliment and an insult if it hit them in the face.

Re: ISU/Stanford Game Thread
Get a bit of production out of some key players, a few stops/ turnovers and who knows where this came can go to.
All I know is we are gonna have to battle up hill the rest of the way - but if we pull it off........
Well let's save that as an IF. Got a full half to lay it on the line! Let's go Cyclones!!

Re: ISU/Stanford Game Thread
No more easy buckets. Make that freak earn them!!! Get tough ladies!
We are getting tougher underneath, but we can't let up. That freak is hooking and slapping hands away... give it back to her!
What is driving me insane is out driving to the bucket... stopping, letting 2 defenders come up, and then trying to shoot. Pull the freaking trigger and draw the foul! Stop dinking around!
Sorry... man... if we make a few more buckets and get a couple of takeaways we are in this game!

Re: ISU/Stanford Game Thread
I think we are playing better at the end of the half than they were at the beginning. Defense is definitely better, but the timing of the offense is still off. Hopefully Weiben being back in for the second will help, but they just have to start playing like they have been doing. We are not playing well and we are still in this game.

There isn't a single player on our team that Stanford would offer a schollie to. When the other team runs faster, cuts quicker, and jumps higher, you just have to play hard and hope for the best.

Hey, we're all a little on edge here. Sometimes we say what we really mean in the heat of the moment. Take comments for what they're worth in your opinion.
I for one am looking for forward to the much needed adjustments we'll hopefully see in the second half.

Our fans would still complain if we did win it all... This team beat us by 38 earlier this year. We improved, but so did they. We are a 4 seed they are a 2 seed. Guess logic doesn't work...
Well Dancing with the Stars is on.. And Shawn is up... We should be happy for getting this far and I think most of us are. I see no problem with questioning strategy at this point.
Do you think the staff or the girls in the locker room are saying, "Hey, we're just happy to be here. Let's just cheer each other on and have fun."? Hell no. They're talking about how they're going to win which is what some on this board are doing as well.
Nobody is talking trash about them...we just want to win. I think it's a good sign our expectations are this high. It means we're a successful program.
