ESPN 64 team watch for 09/10 season
By Creme.
64 teams to watch in 2009-10 - ESPN
Picks ISU 33rd or so. Looks like other than Baylor, the Big 12 is wide open next year.
Re: ESPN 64 team watch for 09/10 season
I was all excited that this was for the men's team. Damn.
Re: ESPN 64 team watch for 09/10 season
Watch out for KU next year. With the PG coming off the injury and McCray and the big girl back, they will be one to be reckoned with. Baylor will still be the team to beat though.
Re: ESPN 64 team watch for 09/10 season
ISU should always be in this list, we almost always are among the top 40. I think we are going to be similar to two seasons ago. Not many will expect to much out of us, yet we will still surprise.

Agree with you on KU. Creme did this before Baylor's Danielle Wilson announced she will remain a student but will not play her senior year. That changes Baylor big time. I don't care if they do have a 6-8 girl if you have no returners coming back worth a crap you will struggle. You heard it here first KU men and women sweep the big 12 reg. season titles.

Mulkey is one hell of a coach, and in my opinion the best in the Big 12, and one of the top 4 in the country. If anyone can have freshmen ready to play, she can.
I think it will be a slug fest between KU and NU for the Big 12 north, unless our post freshmen really surprise, which they could. A lot will depend on schedules.
Re: ESPN 64 team watch for 09/10 season
Don't count Texas out either. Nash sisters, Brit Raven, Arriaran all back along with Gayle. GG will surely add a good recruiting class to the mix as well.

Me too! Disappointment when I saw it was just the women's team...
Re: ESPN 64 team watch for 09/10 season
Seems about right. I don't think we'll have the season we did this year, but I think the potential will be there to move up that list before the end of the season

I agree. I think the prognosticators are overlooking NU. They get Griffin back to go along with Montgomery & Turner plus they have a parade All American point guard coming in.

Problem with Neb. is they have Yori for a coach. She could have all the talent in the world and Neb. would still probably be a .500 team.

You mean like Danny Nee?
