Will Anna Prins dunk while at ISU??

I honestly don't care if she dunks or not - if she helps us win games, it doesn't matter.

IMO, no she will not. We typically are not a running team and that is the only way she will ever have a shot at throwing one down.

She could certainly get a Shaq dunk, where he almost gets to half court and
so gets the wide open dunk coming the other way:)

So true having a true center out there will be nice Wieben did a nice job but she was more of a Power Forward playing center

In the history of women's basketball there has never been a "throw down" dunk. There have been a handful of "dunks" in history, and they have all been very very very weak dunks. Just score and block shots, that will suffice!

Getting within inches (meaning less than 1 foot

) from the rim is a lot different than putting one down. You do actually have to get the ball over the rim to throw it down.

I'm guessing the writer meant she was inches away from getting the ball entirely over the rim. Getting inches away from the rim would mean clanging the ball off the rim.

We really have no had a true post since Welle. Nina Smith, Rachel Pierson, and Kate Bauman had the chance to be, but never really played here.

... and when Welle got mad I almost felt sorry for anyone trying to defend her. Everyone knew she was going to get the ball and take it to the hoop along with anyone else who tried to get in her way. I think she was our female version of Homan except she was a better scorer. I also think she was one of the wittiest athletes I ever heard.
