If you are spending the time and resources to go that far you better be fairly confident that you are going to get a good player. All that being said this is 100% circumstantial. However if you look at the top uncommitted players for 2011 in California that played in a game on senior night Feb. 9th in Orange County it's pretty hard to come to any other conclusion.
I agree with your reasoning (and I of course agree it's all circumstantial). I think if she had actually committed we would have heard something by now, so I'm thinking either it wasn't Samuelson or the person who told JCloned about the committment was mistaken.

Everything about Samuelson makes her sound like a really good fit for ISU. It would be great if she ended up here.

That's what I thought. I was impressed by Fennelly back then and remember thinking to myself when they hired Becker that they may have overlooked a really good one in Fennelly. Thankfully we still had a shot at Fennelly when Becker left.
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Another coincidence? Huntington Beach Edison played at Fountain Valley on Feb 9th (senior night). Bonnie Samuelson plays for Edison.

btw Brea Olinda's Senior night was Feb 5th.

RE: Emily Cady, Seward, NE - Is there any indication of how she is leaning? She is the best player for Seward which is the best team in Nebraska Class B (second largest) - reportedly great on defense, scoring and assists. Reportedly has an offer from Yori and other D1 coaches have been seen at her games. If she is a possible, I'll try to catch some state tourney games. This is not a good year to be competing for a Nebraska girl - the local press for NU is incredible.

I expect quite a parade of "name" coaches in Wells Fargo Arena this week with Stokes, Greenfield, Stubbs, Wright, etc. playing.

Thanks for the post. I see some good news here in that Kelsey Harris hit five threes against a team that would appear to be pretty good, based on the story context.

There is so much information here and so many good players. My head hurts. I admire the coaches for being able to make sense of it all and sift through the masses to find the ones that fit BF's system. Seems daunting to me. Glad we got Prins out of CO - maybe another Top 60 from CO this year.....
