Melissa Jones has played a major role for Baylor and is largely responsible for Baylor's outside game. The slide in road games coincides with her absence. She didn't play against OU or MU. There's a post on ESPN claiming "she came back too hard and too soon and is now on crutches." I don't know the "real story", but, without Jones, our chances are much better. Can any of our researches get any info on this?
“We’ve got a pretty good football conference, and we’ve got a pretty good conference overall. We’re still walking around with our heads held high and our chest out, about that.” Paul Rhoads
as Bill Fennelly put it, Baylor WBB is the New England Patriots of WBB on how "tight lipped" they are. Rumor was she has a "stress injury" to her leg, but that it was not a fracture. However, when she did play she was limping terribly, and playing really hard on it. I doubt we see her this Friday.
Hate to have it happen this way, but on the other hand this will be the only women's game I have a chance to see in person this year (except maybe NCAA tourney games) and I would love to see a W.
Jones has been a dagger to ISU. Last time BU was in town was the year we were short handed by the ACL's and she hit the three in the final minute to win the game.
