Bracketology
Has ISU a 4 seed facing Georgia in the 2nd round. Also has 9 Big 12 teams making the NCAA. Bracketology - ESPN -
Re: Bracketology
Please let us get the hell out of UConn's region. Or at least get moved to a 3 seed.

Re: Bracketology
With UConn in the Sweet 16...I say bring 'em on. I like the challenge.

They can't leave us out and they can't move us away from home. They can't pair us with another conference team in the early rounds (Notwithstanding that Realtime bracket has us on the road and NU playing in Ames.) If they resent our soft nonconference, think we're somewhat undeserving or think we're just lucky - they'll give us the most uncomfortable matchups; maybe a 4/5 matchup with Andy Landers' team, with which we have a poor tournament history; or, a sweetsixteen path through UConn or Stanford; and the Kansas City Regional will be out of the question. I'm just tickled to be at this point with this young team - coaches and players will make lemonade with whatever we get.

Re: Bracketology
I don't see why nationall we're considered ranked lower and lower bracket seeds than Texas and Oklahoma. We beat them both.
I think we have a chance to beat any team but UConn (and maybe Stanford as last year was a buzzsaw). That being said, ANY region but UConn please!
Remember that stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

Re: Bracketology
I wonder if BF regrets how he scheduled the non-conference now. It sure appears like this team would have been able to handle a tougher schedule that would have put them in a better seeding position. Maybe the freshmen would have gotten beat down and lost confidence though.

Conspiracy theorists might say that the committee is trying to limit the number of male head coaches that make the Final Four.

I really think he did it right because of all the freshmen
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -

Maybe the freshmen would have gotten beat down and lost confidence though. This is a completely different team than what we saw in the nonconference. With all of the young players it took a while for them to get going so I don't think that a tough nonconference schedule would have helped at all.

Some folks earlier were bagging on the soft schedule but with five newcomers who needed to contribute plus injuries to Zimmerman and Prins it turned out to be the right thing to do.

There has clearly been an affirmative action effort in women's NCAA athletics for quite some time now. I actually believe this is a small part of what BF means when he comments on how lucky he is to have his job.

3/4 of the conference. Wow. It's called Charlie Creme is high. NO WAY Ku or Tech make the tourney.

If Geno was a female, he would be considered a God as opposed to the "enemy" as he is now. The men are respected, but resented to a certain extent.
