I agree with the outcome, but I just don't see that high of score between these two teams. Plus, we will have to get there first. Texas, Baylor, OU, and hopefully OSU are going to have the same bullseye painted on us. I would like to play MU in the semis, but then we'd have to finish no higher than 4th for the season, so the championship game will have to do.

I think the Big12 tourney will be a battle royal from top to bottom. Any team that survives to the championship game will have earned it. It depends on where we get seeded but I think we have a good shot at the title game.

I REALLY hope we get to play them again in the B12 tournament. BF will have them figured out by then and Aus will be ready to go.

Oklahoma's schedule coming down the stretch is pretty brutal compared to ISU's. So, assuming we don't lose some bad games, we should be guaranteed at least 3rd which puts us on a collision course with Texas then Nebraska in the championship game.

Agree. He has also talked about having Aus out, took away the strengths of other ISU players - like Stuckey being free to get rebounds and do the dirty work.

KC will be a battle royal, but I believe Hilton South will be in force. We just need to nab up tickets now, because the fair weather fans of the west will be out in force too.

We *should* beat Colorado, KState, and Kansas with very little trouble. (We are a VERY young team, though. Hopefully no recurrences of Drake.) That leaves a tough game at OkState. I think we're better, but it's a road game.

Oklahoma is the only team ahead of us (other than Nebraska, of course). They still have to host Nebraska. They also host OkState, and are on the road at Texas and A&M. If they win out, they deserve 2nd.

We have the tiebreaker over Oklahoma, Texas, and Baylor. A&M has the tiebreak over us. We still have to play OkState.

Based on the schedules and tiebreaks, I'd have to give ISU the best odds of getting 2nd place in the conference. The biggest mitigating factor, in my opinion, is how young we are. Drake and KState. Will it happen again?

Of course, no matter what our seed in the Big 12 tourney, it's going to be a tough tourney. 7 teams in the top 20. Only the #1 seed is guaranteed to avoid a top 20 team before the semifinals.

The only thing that concerns me about the Big XII tourney is the possibility of injury prior to the games that really count, the NCAA's.
If someone like Lacey or Poppens gets hurt by playing all-out in Kansas City, it will be a tragedy.

Baylor beat A&M. Now we're 1.5 games plus a tiebreak up on Baylor/A&M. 2 games up on OkState (tiebreak to be determined). 1 game behind OK with the tiebreak. We'll probably have to go through OK in the semis to get to Neb. in the finals.

And we're in 2nd place in the conference (woo hoo!). Still got work to do, but I'd be shocked if we fall below 3rd in the conference -- and I say we're favorites for 2nd. At OkState will be tough, though. 'Course OK still has at Texas, at A&M, and OkState.
