Disappointed how few students turn out to watch the women play anymore. Top 15 ranked team and they are fun to watch yet Cyclone Alley barely has a few hundred there. Watching the women play these days is a refreshing change to the frustration of watching the men. Support them both regardless but the women's team would probably love to see CA show up as much as they do on a "bad" night for the men.

More like a few dozen.
They've shown up for free pink t-shirt day (Baylor), and that's about it.
My question is this: Don't you think the kind of student who actually checks the WBB portion of CF, would be the exact kind of student who shows up at the games?
Has anyone else ever had your boss chew your butt because someone else didn't show up to a meeting?
I always loved going to the wbb games when I was going to school. Plus, they were always doing better than the mbb team. Even then, the students who went barely filled the small section on the west side of Hilton.
Nothing wrong with that. They still dominate attendance compared to most teams.
It's not like people like me who dont care for watching womens hoops are going out and bashing them. Everyone knows they are really good at what they do.
I had a great time at the womens game last night. They are fun to watch. They definitely reserve too many seats for students though. Although %-wise they filled up more than the allotment for the mens game.
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.
Percentage wise, how much is the female students and male students attending the WBB games ?
Do we see more female students attending MBB games than WBB games ? Just curious
Won't happen, your average college kid, even average sports fan isn't in to WBB doesn't matter how good the team is or how fun the team is to watch. WBB is always going to draw older adults and the family crowd, and unfortunately most schools are lucky to get that.
The only bigger turnoff than finding out a woman smokes, is finding out she's a Husker fan.

This thread is kind of like that....
WBB portion? Its on the front page. Most people i know dont even go into the individual forums, they just use the recent threads on the front page...

Lots of those seats are reserved for Lil Cyclone members.... we sit front row about 5-6 games a year because our kids are members ..... it is a great game to watch.

Yes. And look around the country at others womens' crowds. They have the same demographic that we do. Older fans, and not as many students.
Definitely an older crowd. When they have bused up fans for the games here with the Gophers I sort of enjoy not being the oldest guy in the crowd. Might be a little like the volleyball. Until you get to a game and see how much fan it is you might not be a fan.
BTW, the attached photo shows the Cyclone Clone Alley gang did make it to Minneapolis a few years ago for the NCAAs and it was great to have them there. The WBB fans here will know the gals posing with them.
