They fly to Lawrence? I figured since it's only a bit over 3 hours they'd bus it.

It was interesting hearing the commentators say we got disrespected by the polls this week.

Brenda VanLangen has been our biggest cheerleader in the media all year. I actually don't mind the lack of respect in the polls, think it gives our ladies motivation.

I don't intend to slight our girls - our posts collectively scored 21, collected 14 boards, had 3 assists with only 2 to's. Their defense against Davis held her to her average and was largely a matter of her team getting the ball into her in position.

Coach said it was because of the short time between games and classes on Friday. He thanked the administration for allowing them to fly.

That was a HUGE win. It really sets us up for the 2 or 3 seed in KC. I'm looking forward to the trip south. That is a team that I am hoping we do not run into in KC though. Davis was really tough inside tonight. The good news is that Poppens was athletic enough to slow her down, when she wasn't in foul trouble. I'm looking forward to the game Sat. night!

I know this has been said before, but if anyone would have told me at the beginning of the season this team would be 9-4 in the conference with three games remaining, and playing for second place in the B12, I would have said you're crazy. This team has been incredible. Aus has played like you would expect a senior to play in crunch time, Kelsey continues to hit big shots, Denae scraps, and rebounds like no other player on the team, and the freshman post committee is only getting better.

Brenda VanLangen made a great comment about Anna is starting to peak, and maybe the illness wasn't such a bad thing.

BF deserves to be B12 COY, but of course Connie will get it. We were written off after going 0-2, and now we could end up in 2nd place - that is great coaching.

If the men's team had a PG like AUS and could shoot 3 pointers like this team, they'd be dangerous.

She has to be in great shape with as many minutes as she plays to keep coming up big at the end of games. It is pretty impressive. And totally clutch on those free throws.

this team has been fun to watch grow.. i said at the beginning of the season that there would be some growing pains but this team could be special but this has even surprised me how well they have played
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

Kelsey's 9 points tonight puts her at 995 for her career and hopefully should get to the 1,000 point mark at home Sat.
