48-39 ISU, whew!
48-39 ISU, whew!
Tough way to win. Especially with Lacey and Bolte having such bad nights. Great job by Poppens though!
Goodbye Ashley, you got 9 fouls tonight. No more career nights at our expense. You're going nowhere except NIT, if.
maybe the poor field goal shooting was due to the short rest from the Thursday night game. Chelsea's strength training may have been the difference.
Balanced rebounding. Each starter had 5-7 rebounds. Nine rebound, five TO, and 13 made free throw differentials helped make up for an off-night shooting.
thank god for our better free throw shooting-way to go gals and billy gets another win!!!!!!
I don't know now that you mention it. See where Rutgers coach says its the NCAA's or nothing will not play in NIT?
holy ****, the WNIT has expanded to 64 teams.
The WNIT committee will choose 64 teams for its 2010 Postseason WNIT. The field will consist of 31 automatic berths – one from each established conference – and 33 at-large teams. The intention of the WNIT Selection Committee is to select the 33 best available at-large teams in the nation, regardless of conference or geographical location.
A team that is offered an automatic bid by the WNIT shall be the team that is a.) the highest-finishing team in its conference’s regular-season standings, and b.) is not selected for the NCAA Tournament. A team that fulfills this quality will earn the WNIT automatic berth, regardless of overall record.
The remaining 33 berths in the Postseason WNIT will be filled by the top teams available. Any team from a Division I conference, or a Division I independent team, shall be considered. Any team considered for an at-large berth must have an overall record of .500 or better. Overall record includes conference tournament games.
The field will be announced late Monday, March 15. All information will be disseminated via the website at Women's NIT that night, after the NCAA bracket is announced.
I guess since they don't have the other 2 post season tourneys they can do this
Just got home from the game. Thank goodness we won because that was some god awful offense out there tonight.
We had a very difficult time finding any open shots. Almost every possession in the 2nd half ended with Lacy trying to create something as the shot clock expired.
Couldn't hit a 3 for our life. REALLY lucky K-State missed a bunch of 3's in the 1st half because they had some wide open looks.
Last two games have been wins, but really ugly ones. This team was humming along well...hope they aren't hitting a wall.
First off wow I didn't know the ISU field goal drought was 13 minutes. That combined with Aus and Kelsey going like 6-30 and I would never think we would win. Thank Goodness for CHELSEA POPPENS! Welcome to the Show! Girl never gives up even for a second, takes a pounding and keeps coming back. Also, congrats to Kelsey on hitting the 1,000 point mark!
