ISU Clinches tie

A&M beat OU tonight. The worst we can do would be a five way tie for 2nd losing the tiebreaker to A&M settling for the 3 seed in the Big12. More probably we will win at least one and have sole possession of 2nd. Nonetheless, winning at Stillwater would do wonders for our our NCAA credentials.

OU is only half of a game behind us. If we lose both of our remaining games, we can be as low as a tie for 3rd and a 4 seed.

I still think a 2 seed is within reach if we win out including the B12 Tournament. Need to stay away from that 4 seed so we aren't playing a 1 in the sweet 16.

Right you are, my bad - missed resetting the OU/OSU option. In any event I am confident we'll get the two.

Awesome, we finally control our own destiny -- just win out and get the tourney 2-seed. The OkSt game will be tough though as it's their senior night in Stillwater, but a win would be a big statement on our season going 5-1 vs the South. Even with a loss, we just have to come home to beat a struggling CU on OUR senior night in order to clinch the 2-seed.

Check out ESPN's bracketology -- looks like the "experts" are picking us as a 4-seed in the UConn region. That might be realistic, but I think if we win out the regular season to finish second in the Big 12 and then win at least 2 games in the Big 12 tourney we will be a 3-seed. If we beat Nebraska in the Big 12 tourney I'd say we'll have a legit shot at a 2-seed.

You have to break the south tiebreaker first and since that would be OU we have thea head-to-head advantage....I think.

A quick look showed that because OK plays OSU, we can't tie for 3rd with 2 teams that beat us. We can tie for 2nd with 2 teams that beat us, or tie for 3rd with 1 team that beat us. I still didn't go through the south tiebreak scenarios to figure out who comes out on top that we have to break the tie with but . . .

guaranteed 4th. Win 1 game and we're guaranteed 2nd.

I've said this before, but being repetitive is lots of fun. I'd take pretty much any seed if we can get placed in the Kansas City region.

See: Drake, KState, 3 true freshmen post players. I think we're fine.
