    Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative.

    ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other."

    UConn will be reminded of this if ISU/UConn meet. We won't have surprise on our side this time. But, ISU isn't really someone a #1 seed wants to see as a #4, if ISU is on and hitting 3s, makes it a dangerous game for them. The weakness this year for UConn is their guards, and I think the way to beat UConn is forcing them into jump shots, not 3s, and being able to score over the top(3s). Must limit Charles touches.

    I remember it fondly. We got a carload of guys together to go, figuring we'd be back the day after the UCONN game. Silly us.

    Also had this conversation with our group, while dining at Skyline:
