Lacey Named to WBCA All-Region Team
AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior Alison Lacey was named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Region Team announced Tuesday afternoon. She will now move onto the ballot for the State Farm Coaches’ All-America Team, which will be cut to 40 finalists on March 23.
Lacey earned the sixth WBCA All-District honor by a Cyclone. Lyndsey Medders was the last ISU player to win All-District accolades in 2007.
“It is a well deserved honor for Aus (Lacey) to be a regional nominee for the All-America team, especially in our region which is one of the best in the country,” ISU head coach Bill Fennelly said. “I think she will be someone that will get serious consideration for the All-America Team.”
Lacey will make her return to the court this week after missing the last three contests with pneumonia. She was a unanimous All-Big 12 First Team pick by the coaches and has also won all-conference first-team honors from the Dallas Morning News and the Waco Tribune-Herald. Lacey is also one of eight finalists for the Lieberman Award, which goes to the nation’s top point guard.

Re: Lacey Named to WBCA All-Region Team
She is doing full practices now, so I'd say 25 to 30 minutes, give or take depending on how close the game is. I am sure they would want her to have as much energy as possible for a potential match up with Virginia and Wright.
