Yes, but self-upgrading to better seats is a talent of some people.

But that won't work well at a game with few no-shows. :)

Exactly. It's going to be a huge crowd tonight.

Self-upgrading is indeed a talent of mine. I got a great seat: fourth row, almost at mid-court. I agree on the quiet crowds, though- Cyclone fans were getting WAY more into the UW-Green Bay game than they wound up getting into ours, for the most part. Some isolated big cheers and jeers, but mostly silence.
    True and Valiant

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

Well when you're destroying the other team since a few minutes into the game there's no need to be obnoxious.

Yeah, there's a certain element where you don't want to play rude host. If you're clearly destroying a team, there's really no need to be jerks about it.

And on that note, I don't know how many other teams' fans applaud when the other team's starters leave the court in the final minutes of the game. Kudos Cyclone fans.

We weren't 'clearly destroying' them until well into the second half. Yes, we had built a bit of a lead by halftime, but Lehigh came out shooting better in the second half, and our shots were clanking every direction but down. It was by no means an invincible lead. I'm not saying we should have been obnoxious, but slightly more cheering than 'zero' would have been appropriate. I don't think that would have been rude.

Agreed. In my train of thought at the time, I was initially surprised. Then I immediately realized, "Wait, why am I surprised? These are Cyclone fans. This is who we are," and joined in.
