UConn beat Florida State by a score of 90-50 in the Elite Eight, the largest margin of victory EVER for a regional final. We shouldn't feel bad about our loss, IMO.
This. Florida State in Women's basketball is considered slightly better than us, and they just got absolutely throttled by UConn. Sunday's game is certainly a gigantic case of "It's not us, it's them".
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
Pretty sure I heard the announcer say, and I'd believe it, that the UConn bench would be a top 15 team. That to me does not signal a team that's going to level out with the rest of the country once the seniors graduate.
I'm sure that's true, but there could be Title 9 problems with reducing scholarships for WBB.
I had posted on the other board earlier in the year about the incoming classes for the 12.
Not only OU and Baylor for which you posted (I had commented then that baylor will be a monster and Kim's best was getting the houston aau slyster coach on board) but that A&M and OSU have come to KC and taken kids that will make then prolonged trouble and if Bonnie can hold on to her oral pledges she will have a stable of guards that will just be fits for teams that have guard ?'s. (bell going off!)
CU screwed up by canning their coach as she had a couple of really nice "it" players coming in.
Texas with Gail will always do well but she has trouble with the 12's style so her and Curry might always be in the middle.
I do believe Greenfields is ours and contrary to some here is that I think we are final 4 for Stokes and looking good for Bill with a couple of other gals that are good but just not the AAU hoopgurlz love children that espn likes to toot for 12.
Will be a great next couple of years but Baylor and OU will just be awful for us next year on road
