Given Greenfield has committed to Stanford, can anyone give a current update on WBB recruiting for 2011? How many scholarships do we have left and who are we after?

She could be a huge get for BF. I could really see her coming in and playing the four spot and spelling Poppens. This would allow you to move Z outside a little more since she is a better outside shooter and can hit the three. Wright reminds me of Desiree Francis who liked to play at the FT line and could shoot from there. Wright seems to have good hands as well. I think out of necessity she plays the five spot for DSM East, but she could be a great four IMO.

I would like to see BF sign both Cady and Wright. Together with the three guards/wing players we have in the book that would be a great class. We could move either Cady or Hallie to wing and still have Wright and Z. to back up Pop and Prins. I watched Cady play in Minneapolis this summer and she has the skills to play on the wing. Wright and Cady are very familiar with each other and it is a war when they play in the post against each other. Save the last schollie for 2012 or beyond.

If I was a betting man, I'd say we sign another guard for the 2011 class. I think MRed is probably right, Wright is a back-up if Cady declines.

For anyone who might be wondering how many scholarships will be available for 2012, we should have three more open up barring transfer/redshirt. If we sign two more players for 2011 and leave one open, that'll be four scholarships for 2012 which seems like a decent number to me.

I'm surprised I haven't heard about any offers for her or Butts. They must at least have mid-major offers. I saw somewhere that Wisconsin is recruiting Wright, but I don't know whether they've offered her.

Hoopgurlz has Wright with an 89 rating and the #21 center ranking. They have Butts with an 89 rating as well and a #37 PG ranking. That's high-major talent: the PG right above Butts has verballed Ohio State and a post with the same rating as Wright is a Marquette verbal.

I am a big fan of both of them. Very, very competitive, and very used to being driven hard by coach Powell.

I agree, I've only seen Cady play once and Wright once on TV, but, it is plain they are not the same and would be very complimentary on the floor.
