Re: What? Midlands?
Wow, Carr just won his match with a takedown with 5 seconds left. Nice.

Here's the page for the results so far from the first session (as of 1:15). Northwestern University Official Athletic Site - Wrestling
I also couldn't find a link to TDR on the intermat page, but LiveSportVideo Go ⇔ Live! has it.
I'm doing this so that it's easy to find later.

I love the aggressiveness being shown by the team today.

Re: What? Midlands?
Guys thanks for the updates! Schaffers pin of #7 and Spangler upsetting # 3 has made my day. We Cyclone fans haven't seen upsets like this for a while. Go Clones!

Re: What? Midlands?
Four guys in the quarterfinals:
141- Chris Drouin
149- Nate Car Jr.
165-Chris Spangler
174-Jon Reader
I'm disappointed in our Heavyweights, but other than that we've had a great day of wrestling so far. The live chat on cyclones.com has been awesome for those of us that couldn't make it.
Hopefully we send all four of those guys to the semis tonight and keep our guys in the consolations alive!

Re: What? Midlands?
Looks like we're in 9th place going into the quarters, but only 3 of our ten scorers are out. 6-10 are all bunched together and with a strong showing tonigh there is no reason we can't push into the top 5 or better.
(again shamelessly stealing from the cyclones.com chat)
133 Cash, out of tournament
141 Drouin, in champ bracket
149 Carr, in champ bracket
149 Mayfield, Out of tournament
165 Spangler, in champ bracket
174 Reader in champ bracket
184 Shafter, in consolations
197-Hawes, out of tournament
HWT- Simonson and Gibson in consolations tonight

HWT- Simonson and Gibson in consolations tonight Any idea why we don't have a 125 pounder even wrestling? And don't get me started on Cash being the only 133.

Hunter and Finch had family issues to deal with.
Jones is still making the cut to 125, on a schedule set by the staff.
