NCAA Seeding and Wild cards will be announced at 5 PM on KXNO

We find out how the NCAA's are going to look at 5 tonight. Here's what I am looking for:

-Reader will get the #1 seed at 174, but what will his side of the bracket look like? Hopefully he has as easy a path as possible to the finals.

-Will Ward get a seed? This would be very helpful as that way we don't have to worry about him getting paired with a top 4 guy the first round.

-Who will Shafer and Simonson be paired up against the first round? Since they aren't likely to challange for AA, their pairings will be huge in how many team points they are able to score for us.

-Will Drioun get a wild card (likely)? Will Spangler get a wild card (unlikely)?

No wild card for Spangler, even though he has wins over 2 seeded guys and his only non injury related losses were to the #1 seed. Guess they decided he just didn't have enough matches.

Drioun gets a wild card, will wrestle the #9 seed (from Air Force) in the first round.

Only the top 12 are seeded, so having an unseeded guy in the first round would be the best, but yeah, can't really complain about that match-up after how he did at Big 12s.

Also - I got ahead of myself, the unveiling is going on right now at ncaa.com, Takedown Radio will be doing a breakdown at 7 on XKNO.

Shafer gets an excellent draw. Jake Meradith of Arizona State, who is 22-14. They did not wrestle at the dual because that was the dual that Reader bumped up to 184 to get a match.

Ward gets the 11 seed, wrestles an unseeded guy from Ohio in the first round.

Simonson draws Rasing from Iowa in the first round (#7 seed). At the dual Rasing won 0-2, but both of these guys have improved a lot since then.

So half the team gets in and everybody got a decent draw. Wish Spangler would have gotten a a wild card, but other than that we got pretty lucky.

Seems like pretty good draws overall, not that I am an expert. I do like to follow as I can though.

Ward getting a seed was very good, Shafer got a very winnable match, Simonson got a somewhat winnable match, and Drioun drew a low seed.

My guess is we go either 3-2 or 4-1 the first round

Unhealthy Simonson will have a tough time against a healthy Raising. Hope Kyle can pull it off, but Raising has been wrestling really good lately. Other matches look winnable.
