The one thing about the in-state recruits this year is that Iowa has a pretty strong class and several of them fit our needs!

Meeks and Bauer are both projected at 133/141. Both went undefeated last week at Junior national freestyle team tourney. Dakota Bauer went 9-0 at 130 and John Meeks went 10-0 at 135.

Talk on the other board that we are in the early process of trying to sign a blue chip 184 pounder. I assume Willie Miklus, Gage Harrah, or Marchok. Many think Miklus goes to Iowa and Gage Harrah is the one.

Also Rough Rider Fans (Mr Meeks) is thinking we have a good shot at another ligh weight wrestler in addition to John Meeks and Dakota Bauer. My thoughts are Jack Hathaway, then Thomas Gilman, and possibly Cory Clark.

Main interests are Justin Koethe, Gabe Moreno, and Taylor Massa.

Class could look like this

where do you think that would put us for a team ranking as far as recruiting goes?

what about Bremer from Woodbury Central-he's going to be a sr this year, and will probably move up from 103. is he rated at his weight nationally at all? 2 time champ, very dominant last year.

Do you think that Iowa will make a run at Harrah? they are in desperate need of that weight, and would be willing to go all out for a top prospect like that.

One more question. Do you think KJ would take Clark Glass over Koethe? I thought Glass would be one of the kids KJ brought in this year.

KJ knows the Massa family pretty well, but I don't think we will get him at Iowa State. I would guess he ends up at Michigan also. He was a high priority, but seems unlikely

Sounds like Harrah or Miklus is the current target they are trying to sign. Rumored a blue chip 184 pounder. My guess would be Harrah, heard his name eary as high interest.
Also KJ has been watching Koethe all summer and I think he wants him in an Cyclone singlet.
Then of course, Gabe Moreno.

If the class is Meeks, Bauer, Moreno, Harrah, and Koethe - I think that is a top 5 class. Fills alot of holes and alot of multiple year AA potential there
