Sad news. Trent has so much potential, but extracurricular activities may take that away from him. Hopefully someone can put a bug in his ear, and he can change.

Yeah, it might. Context is very important. Most people actually want to know the facts behind something before they come to their conclusion.

Haha, sadly you nailed the reaction of some posters on here. Immediately calling for anyone's head who is arrested, not caring at all that they don't even know anything about the facts of the case yet. It'd be funny if it wasn't so brainless/predictable/annoying.

The only thing you need context on is what is defined as "assault." who it is against is completely irrelevant.

Really? So if you were his coach, you would give him the exact same punishment regardless of whether the assault was against a man or a woman? Whether he picked a fight with a random stranger for no reason or got into it with some D-bag who was verbally assaulting him? You would view the assault exactly the same whether it came against a 21 year old man or a 85 year old? And, of course you realize that the circumstances of the assault (including who it was against) will factor strongly into the likelihood of charges being dropped.

Come on, there is nothing wrong with thinking about and actually looking at a situation before you come to judgement. I'm sure our coaches will. For most of us, what actually happens does matter, not just the charge filed by the officer. I'm sure it does to our coaches too.
