Has been cleared to start wrestling, but still a 12-15 month full recovery. No Medical Redshirt available, so will be done at the end of this year. Probably the only way he will see competitve action is if something happens to Matt Gibson. Chance of him ever wrestling for Iowa State is very slim. Not worth further injury.

What is the reason for the lack of a medical RS? Was he even pursuing one? He may just want to finish up college and move on. The way Gibson has come along I don't expect we will see anything out of him either.

Need to be out for more than 1 season and since his injury occurred late in season and he wrestled at Nationals, he completed last season, thus not eligible for Med RS.

I agree that the way Matt wrestled at Midlands, its Matt's spot. I thought if Matt continue to be inconsistent (like prior to Nationals) that Kyle might be given a shot. I don't think that is true today.
