Re: Okie State squeaks by Iowa on the mat
That wasn't a shove. Mike Evans shoved Sorenson after Sorenson beat him. Wrecking on someone's knee and then driving him into the mat after you know the match is over the top. Perry was also running his mouth, like normal, before Lofthouse reacted.

Watching the replay...cant help but shake my head at the Hawk d bag behind the bench wearing a cowboy hat and eyeblack. The guy looks about 60. I'm sorry, but that is pathetic. I cant help but watch this and think of the caveman South Park episode.

Re: Okie State squeaks by Iowa on the mat
I am no fan of the Perrys. This was by no means Chris first incident. Last year he pulled some crap and he embarrassed the USA in Turkey a couple of years ago after getting worked by a Russian. It doesn't impress me when you try to fight everyone who beats you in a wrestling match after it is over and then go destroy a locker room especially when he was representing his country. Chris has been living after of Mark since he was in high school. Are you impress by the Perrys when Mark and 16 year old Chris go get drunk downtown Iowa City during the wrestling season and Mark Sr. has to cover it up so Chris doesn’t miss wrestling. Mark is as arrogant as they come. Mark did the same crap Chris does everyday in the Iowa room and any time he was beat. Anyone remember when he threw away his shoes after Hendricks whooped him at the all-star meet. How about getting dq against Chris Brown because he needed an excuse on why he lost. Perry was known to be a terrible teammate always punching people who wouldn't shot on him in practice since he couldn't generate any offense himself, but he never would try that against someone who would stand up to him. The only differences between the two of them are Mark was more talented and Chris could wrestle long than two minutes. If ISU wrestles OSU down to the wire and Perry is the last to go you can bet he will try to show us up by doing something stupid. -

What is your blood-alcohol level? Is the special sauce of IA, Templeton Rye? I'm having an okay time watching the sleeper game of the century, but you made my night. Thank you.

I remember....Brands!!!!! Not many would claim either of the Brands as poster children for classiness (I'm glad they're coaching for Iowa, because they are damn good at what they do. But I have no illusions about their behavior; they're a**holes, at least by the mat.). But the way I see it, athletes like the Brands, Perry's, etc. simply have a different interpretation of my favorite Dan Gable quote than I do. I can't remember the full quote, and I can't find it anywhere, but the basic gist is this: If losing doesn't tear your guts out, if you can accept losing graciously, then how can there be any joy in winning?
Guys like the Brands or Perry's go nuts, tear apart a locker room, etc. when they lose. Obviously, losing tears their guts out. I learned to take that energy and devote it to ensuring I never felt that feeling again. I hated it more than anything. And I've always felt that's the way Gable means for that quote to be interpreted. Anybody can throw a tantrum. It takes more than that to get better. Much more.

Tm, you are starting to get on my nerves. You make it impossible for me to say all hawk fans are jerks.
