I don't see us being able to pull out a win here, but there are a few very important matches in terms of rankings and showing growth as a team.
At 125, Ryak Finch has been great but seems to hit a wall when going up against guys ranked in the top 10. A win over Morrison would show that he has the capability to AA this year. Right now I think Ryak is an R12 guy at best, so if he can break through with some wins over guys ranked between 6th and 11th that could be a big difference for team points in March.
at 141, Luke Goettl lost to Kindig in his first match of the year on a pin. However, Luke is a totally different wrestler right now and I think he will make this competitive at the least. A win today would solidify Luke as an auto-qualifier and would put him into the conversation as a possible high AA.
At 157, Mike Moreno has finally broken through and started to get some wins, including beating a ranked guy on Friday night. Albert White is a good wrestler, but not an elite wrestler. If Mike gets a win today I like his chances of qualifying for Nationals in March. Mike fought through a lot of adversity this season so I'd love to see it continue to pay off.

Re: Oklahoma State Preview
I agree that even if things go our way, I don't see us winning this dual.
133, 149, 174, 197 are heavy favorites to OSU
141, 157, Hwt are slight favorites to OSU
125 & 184 is a tossup and probably at favorite to OSU if Christenson is wrestling
165 would be only favorite to Iowa State.

Re: Oklahoma State Preview
Meet starts at 133. We toss out Ben Cash rather than Hallmann. Oliver wins 17-1 early in the second period. Oklahoma State leads 0-5.
-
Re: Oklahoma State Preview
Goettl went for a big throw and got caught for 5 points, down 7-1 to start the second.
-
Re: Oklahoma State Preview
Not looking good for Luke down 7-1 went for throw and lost 5
-
Re: Oklahoma State Preview
Goettl unable to recover from that 5 point mistake. Ends up losing 11-2 in a match that was much closer than the score indicates. Luke will get him at Big 12s.

Re: Oklahoma State Preview
The throws can make or break the match when they happen early. Change the way you wrestle the rest of the match.

Re: Oklahoma State Preview
Parks beats Swalla 17-5. OSU leads 13-0. Hopefully Moreno can turn things around.
-
Re: Oklahoma State Preview
This could be a real ugly day for us. Hopefully Sorenson gets his win.
-
Re: Oklahoma State Preview
White beats Moreno 6-1. Moreno forced all the action but gave up takedowns on counters. OSU up 16-0.
-
Re: Oklahoma State Preview
OSU tosses out Joe Ali, a backup, against Sorenson. Andrew should be able to get some extra points here.

Re: Oklahoma State Preview
Hopefully, I don't understand the problem scoring points against Graham of OU though. I thought he should have smoked him.

Re: Oklahoma State Preview
16-12 Penn State up on Iowa thru 184
