Re: Cornell Preview, Predictions, and Results
To many times the takedown clinics occur because the other guy isn't wrestling. Peppleman had his head on the mat and elbows in when in the down position to prevent getting scored on.

Re: Cornell Preview, Predictions, and Results
How many stalling warnings or points were given in Sorenson's match?

Thanks, so a guy can stall out and only lose 4 team points. You can not get defaulted out for stalling.

Re: Cornell Preview, Predictions, and Results
I don't mind the intent of the rule, but not penalizing a wrestler for stalling, defeats the objective. You can not get disqualified for stalling, so technically if the dual came down to the last weight and opposing team needs 5 points to win and you're down by a major and haven't given up any back points, you just as well stall your butt off so you don't give up the TF with back points. It's a long shot in happening, but could happen.
If you get TF'd and no back points, and guy gets stalled (5 stall warnings) out the guy should get at least 5 if not 6

I didn't realize this rule!! We were talking about that on the way out. I knew about the back points rule and was surprised it got put up as 5 points. My theory was that maybe you also got 5 if there were a certain number of stall warnings but I guess they just put up the wrong score.

Re: Cornell Preview, Predictions, and Results
Very Nice win for Andrew. Peppelman hasn't progressed too much since high school.
4 point techs have been around for a while. Tyler Graff had a bunch his redshirt freshman year at Wisconsin.
Heres a question if you don't score a takedown, but tech fall someone because of back points should it be 4 or 5? Jake Patacsil teched people without ever taking anyone down

Re: Cornell Preview, Predictions, and Results
Goldrush, this is the exact point I was trying to state above. Many times in a tech fall instance most come from back points but not really from a pinning combo. Leg riders do this well cause they can til or turk there opponents. I think its the exact same but just a different style.
