    Re: UNI dual

I think its important, that if we win
    1 seed - Iowa
2 seed - Iowa State or Oregon State
3 seed - Oregon State or Iowa State
    4 seed - Virginia Tech
    5 seed - UNI
    6 seed - Wisconsin

    If we lose to UNI,
    1 seed Iowa
    2 seed Oregon State
    3 seed UNI
    4 seed Iowa State
    5 seed Virginia Tech
    6 seed Wisconsin

Lot more confusing if we lose,
Iowa State beat VT, but loses to UNI and UNI beats Wisconsin
Oregon State has not wrestled any of us

Fairly certain it is dual until they pull out the swords and then it is a duel.

Iirc, I saw that they got rolled like 49-0 in a big ten dual, and it wasn't Iowa.

Better than a duet. When wrestling, do all you can to win.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Lost their 2 main assistants and had some turnover in recruits. They also have their 2 best returning wrestlers taking Olympic redshirts. It's possible they're going to look like us for a couple years here due to the recruits they've lost, especially Destin McCauley who will likely be our starting 149 pounder next year.

(**Sorry if I'm giving you basic info that you were already aware of)

    NOTES
AMES, Iowa - The No. 14 Iowa State wrestling team (2-12, 0-6 Big 12) travels to Cedar Falls, Iowa Friday night to take on Northern Iowa (5-4, 3-1 WWC). The in-state rivals are set to clash at 7 p.m. CST in the West Gym.
Five Cyclones are ranked in this week's Intermat poll, with just two Panthers ranked in the top 20 of their respective weight classes. Iowa State’s highest-ranked wrestler is No. 4 Andrew Sorenson at 165 pounds. Heavyweight Matt Gibson climbed two spots in the rankings after a 15-2 major decision over Cornell’s Maciej Jochym.
At 197 pounds, Trevor Voelker had his first start in a Cyclone singlet Sunday in Hilton Coliseum. The redshirt freshman could see the mat again, unless Jerome Ward receives the nod. Ward, a redshirt senior, has yet to compete for the Cyclones in the 2011-12 season.
Redshirt sophomore Boaz Beard was back on the mat at 184 pounds Sunday after sitting out the Oklahoma and Oklahoma State duals. Beard will face No. 6 Ryan Loder, who has just one loss in dual competition.
Redshirt freshman Michael Moreno has won two of his last four dual matches, including a tight loss to No. 1 Kyle Dake of Cornell. Moreno will face off against David Bonin, ranked 20th nationally by W.I.N. Magazine.

    Re: UNI dual

Wow, that would be great to have Ward back to end the season. Can't imagine his conditioning is very good, but would still be a significant upgrade at 197.
