3 Iowa State recruits in the State Wrestling Finals

I believe someone posted that he won state last year, but what did he do as a freshman and sophmore?

Prior to this year he wrestled at Ballard of Huxley. I do not remember him as a Soph but the 2009 Ballard line up would have been hard to break in to with the Weathermen's and Hiatt's and others. That Ballard team is considered one of the best teams of all time.

Larson won state as a junior at Ballard. He sat out most of the season this year after he broke a bone in his foot in the first game. Dude is huge, great upper body strength. Great work ethic as well.

Does anyone know if Meeks had offers from either Iowa or Penn State?

Im not sure on Iowa but I do know at some point Penn State was after Meeks. He originally committed to Nebraska and when his brother left there he came on board in Ames. Meeks seems like a great kid but I think whoever offered to most money was going to have a good shot at getting him. After watching him dismantle people from his feet Im super excited about his future. Im hoping his mat skills improve and he will be a beast.
